Smoked Salmon Roll Ups are an elegant, no-cook appetizer made with silky smoked salmon wrapped around a creamy, herb-infused filling with fresh cucumber for crunch. Light, refreshing, and visually stunning, they are perfect for brunch tables, holiday platters, or effortless entertaining.
Ingredients
- Smoked salmon slices (200 g, thinly sliced)
- Cream cheese, softened (200 g, full-fat)
- Fresh lemon juice (15 ml, 1 tablespoon)
- Lemon zest (1 teaspoon, finely grated)
- Fresh dill, finely chopped (10 g)
- Fresh chives, finely chopped (10 g)
- Cucumber, cut into thin strips (100 g)
- Black pepper (2 g, freshly ground)
- Baby spinach leaves, finely chopped (30 g, optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, chives, and black pepper. Mix until smooth, creamy, and evenly blended.
- Lay the smoked salmon slices flat on a cutting board or plastic wrap, slightly overlapping to form a rectangle.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the salmon using a spatula.
- Arrange the cucumber strips evenly over the filling and sprinkle with chopped spinach if using.
- Starting from one long side, carefully roll the salmon into a tight log using the plastic wrap to guide you.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Unwrap and slice into evenly sized roll ups using a sharp knife. Serve chilled.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest texture and best flavor.
- Chill the roll well before slicing to keep clean, neat edges.
- Wipe the knife between cuts for professional-looking roll ups.
- Garnish with fresh dill or lemon zest just before serving for extra freshness.
