- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Heat a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat and drizzle with a bit of olive oil.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, spinach, feta, garlic, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and oregano until just combined.
- Form into 4–5 even patties with slightly damp hands.
- Place patties on the skillet and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through to 165°F internal temperature.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve on buns, in lettuce wraps, or as desired.
Notes
- Chill the mixture before forming patties if it’s too wet.
- Don’t overmix the meat to keep the burgers tender.
- Add fresh herbs like dill or parsley for extra flavor.
- Freeze uncooked patties for up to 2 months.
