Description

These spinach and feta chicken burgers are juicy, flavorful, and loaded with Mediterranean goodness. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or weekend cookout.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat and drizzle with a bit of olive oil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, spinach, feta, garlic, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and oregano until just combined.
  3. Form into 4–5 even patties with slightly damp hands.
  4. Place patties on the skillet and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through to 165°F internal temperature.
  5. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  6. Serve on buns, in lettuce wraps, or as desired.

Notes

  • Chill the mixture before forming patties if it’s too wet.
  • Don’t overmix the meat to keep the burgers tender.
  • Add fresh herbs like dill or parsley for extra flavor.
  • Freeze uncooked patties for up to 2 months.
