Description
Sticky BBQ Corn Ribs are a fun, smoky, sweet, and irresistibly caramelized side dish made from fresh corn sliced into rib-like pieces, seasoned, roasted, and brushed with a sticky barbecue glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large ears of corn, husked and cleaned
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes or pinch cayenne
Instructions
- Place each ear of corn on a cutting board and carefully cut lengthwise into quarters. Pat dry.
- Mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss or brush the corn ribs until fully coated.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (or air fryer to 375°F). Arrange corn ribs in a single layer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until curled and slightly charred.
- Whisk together barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, and chili flakes. Brush ribs generously and return to cook for 5 more minutes until the glaze becomes sticky and caramelized.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh corn for the best texture and natural sweetness.
- Do not overcook before glazing to avoid dryness.
- For extra stickiness, glaze twice and let each layer caramelize.
