Description

Sticky BBQ Corn Ribs are a fun, smoky, sweet, and irresistibly caramelized side dish made from fresh corn sliced into rib-like pieces, seasoned, roasted, and brushed with a sticky barbecue glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large ears of corn, husked and cleaned
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes or pinch cayenne

Instructions

  1. Place each ear of corn on a cutting board and carefully cut lengthwise into quarters. Pat dry.
  2. Mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss or brush the corn ribs until fully coated.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F (or air fryer to 375°F). Arrange corn ribs in a single layer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until curled and slightly charred.
  4. Whisk together barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, and chili flakes. Brush ribs generously and return to cook for 5 more minutes until the glaze becomes sticky and caramelized.
  5. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh corn for the best texture and natural sweetness.
  • Do not overcook before glazing to avoid dryness.
  • For extra stickiness, glaze twice and let each layer caramelize.
