- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 pound beef strips, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups cabbage, shredded
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium high heat until hot.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and black pepper until smooth.
- Add vegetable oil to the hot pan and swirl to coat.
- Add beef strips and cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and cabbage, cook briefly until slightly softened.
- Add cooked egg noodles to the pan, then pour in the prepared sauce.
- Return the beef to the pan and toss everything together until evenly coated and glossy.
- Add sliced green onions, toss lightly, and serve hot.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for the best texture.
- Do not overcook noodles to keep them slightly chewy.
- Cook on high heat for better flavor and texture.
- Add a splash of water when reheating to loosen the sauce.
