Description

Savory sticky beef noodles tossed in a rich, glossy sauce with tender beef, fresh cabbage, and aromatic garlic, all ready in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound beef strips, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium high heat until hot.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Add vegetable oil to the hot pan and swirl to coat.
  4. Add beef strips and cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add garlic and cabbage, cook briefly until slightly softened.
  6. Add cooked egg noodles to the pan, then pour in the prepared sauce.
  7. Return the beef to the pan and toss everything together until evenly coated and glossy.
  8. Add sliced green onions, toss lightly, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for the best texture.
  • Do not overcook noodles to keep them slightly chewy.
  • Cook on high heat for better flavor and texture.
  • Add a splash of water when reheating to loosen the sauce.
