Description

Juicy chicken meatballs coated in a sticky sesame glaze, served over rice with fresh broccoli for a comforting and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F or heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, and minced garlic until just mixed.
  3. Lightly grease a pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Shape mixture into evenly sized meatballs and place them on the prepared surface.
  5. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes until fully cooked and lightly browned.
  6. In a pan, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and cornstarch slurry, simmer until thickened.
  7. Toss cooked meatballs in the sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Serve over rice with steamed broccoli, then top with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the meatball mixture to keep them tender.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding less or more honey to taste.
  • Steam broccoli until just tender for best texture.
  • Let the sauce fully thicken before adding meatballs.
