Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 crunchy tostada shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Stir in taco seasoning and a few tablespoons of water, then simmer until the beef is well coated and flavorful.
- Lay a large flour tortilla flat on a clean surface.
- Add a portion of seasoned beef in the center of the tortilla.
- Drizzle nacho cheese sauce over the beef.
- Place one crunchy tostada shell on top of the cheese layer.
- Spread sour cream evenly over the tostada shell.
- Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Fold the edges of the tortilla toward the center to form a sealed hexagon shape.
- Place the wrap seam side down in the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip and cook the other side until crisp and heated through.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
- Warm tortillas slightly before folding so they become flexible and easier to seal.
- Keep the tostada shell centered to ensure every bite has the signature crunch.
- Cook seam side down first so the wrap seals properly.
- Use medium heat to prevent the tortilla from burning before the inside warms.
