A classic crunchy candied fruit treat featuring fresh strawberries coated in a glossy sugar shell that cracks beautifully with every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 medium fresh strawberries, washed and completely dried
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Line a tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water and gently mix.
  3. Place over medium heat and allow the mixture to heat without stirring until it turns golden and reaches hard crack stage.
  4. Thread the strawberries onto wooden skewers securely.
  5. Carefully dip each skewer into the hot sugar, rotating to coat evenly.
  6. Place the coated fruit onto the prepared parchment paper and let it harden.
  7. Serve once the coating is fully set and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping
  • Work quickly as the sugar hardens fast
  • Avoid stirring the sugar once it starts boiling
