- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until softened and lightly golden. Let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Stir until creamy and well mixed.
- Add the cooked mushrooms to the cheese mixture and stir gently.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets slightly and cut into equal squares or circles.
- Spoon the mushroom filling into the center of each pastry piece.
- Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg.
- Arrange the tarts on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until puffed and deeply golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with extra parsley if desired, and serve warm.

- Do not overfill the pastry to prevent leaking during baking.
- Use cold puff pastry for the flakiest texture.
- Freshly grated parmesan gives the best flavor.
