A complete traditional Christmas feast featuring golden roast turkey, crispy potatoes, vibrant vegetables, and all the classic trimmings, made easy and elegant with ProCook tools.

Ingredients

  • Whole Turkey (about 4.5 to 5kg)
  • Unsalted Butter (200g)
  • Fresh Rosemary and Thyme (a few sprigs each)
  • Garlic Cloves (4, smashed)
  • Carrots (500g, peeled and halved)
  • Brussels Sprouts (500g, trimmed and halved)
  • Roasting Potatoes (1.5kg)
  • Olive Oil (100ml)
  • Pigs in Blankets (12 pieces)
  • Cranberry Sauce (1 jar or homemade)
  • Chicken Stock (500ml)
  • Plain Flour (2 tbsp)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat the oven to 190°C (fan) or 375°F. Arrange oven racks accordingly.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Mix softened butter with chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Gently loosen turkey skin and spread the butter underneath.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Place turkey on a roasting rack in a tray. Add garlic and herbs around it.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Drizzle olive oil over the vegetables and potatoes. Season and place on baking trays.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Roast turkey for 2.5–3 hours, basting occasionally. Roast veggies for 45 minutes until golden.
  6. Finishing Touches: Rest turkey while making gravy with pan juices, flour, and stock.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Carve turkey, plate everything, and serve with gravy and cranberry sauce.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for perfectly cooked turkey.
  • Prep veggies the day before to save time.
  • Double the gravy—it always disappears fast!
