Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds turkey drumettes or wingettes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for deep frying
- Cranberry sauce or dipping sauce of choice
Instructions
- Heat your oil in a deep frying pan or Dutch oven over medium heat until it reaches 350°F.
- In one bowl, mix the flour with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Line a tray with paper towels or set a wire rack nearby for draining once fried.
- Using a sharp knife, scrape the meat down to the end of each drumette bone to create the lollipop shape. Dip each piece in seasoned flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Fry in batches, turning occasionally, for about 6–8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the lollipops drain and cool slightly. Serve warm with cranberry sauce or your favorite dip.
- Arrange on a platter and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy lollipops, double dip in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
- Make ahead and reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
- Try seasoning the breadcrumbs with herbs or cheese for added flavor.
